About Me
Hello! My name is Cassia J. Clark. I'm a 24-year-old Jehovah's Witness and the creator of the book series, The Riverview Witnesses and All Sorts of People.
So, Who Are You Exactly?
Well, you already know my name. And my religion. But since you asked...
- That's me over there. Yep. "*nods*
- I was born September 17, 1993.
- I grew up in the truth and was baptized June 1, 2013.
- I live in Mississippi, USA.
- I'm a very creative person, who loves drawing as much as creating stories.
- My creative energy partly comes from my disorder, Maladaptive Daydreaming.
- I love video games with a passion, mostly action-adventure, platforming, indie and (mostly non-magical) MMOs. (Don't ask me to choose between Sonic and Mario. DON'T.)
- I'm a sucker for animation. CGI, anime, stop-motion, you name it.
- I'm kinda tomboyish. I like makeup and stuff, but I usually relate to guys better than girls.
- I like almost all types of music in all languages.
- I'm very shy. It can take a lot to gear myself up to talk to someone. But I can be very talkative once I'm used to you.
- I'm very, very proud to be a Jehovah's Witness.
- I LOVE animals, especially cats.
- Got an artistic mom, photographic dad and musical younger sibling.
- I'm pretty stubborn at times.
- And spontaneous.
What Gave You The Idea to Write These Books?
I've been writing and illustrating stories ever since I was young. Whether they were original or fanfictions, I just created them whenever an idea popped up in my head. A good half of them didn't get finished. The ones that did, however, I treasured and read over and over again. However, due to the fact that I wasn't serious about truth for a while, not all my stories were exactly appropriate. Also, over three years ago, I used to roleplay on a site called Tumblr. While I loved it, I would spend hours daydreaming about the responses my character would give to others. I used my inspiration to fuel the crazy scenarios my characters would get into, but eventually I saw that I was getting sucked in too deep. Once I stopped, though, my passion for creating stories never did. Soon after, I got baptized in my public dedication to Jehovah, and a persistent little thought popped up in my head to start writing stories about Jehovah's Witnesses. I finally gave in when I stumbled upon ZIONLION Productions, created by Jordan Moore, who I will be forever grateful to for motivating me to get off my lazy butt and put my inspiration to good use. While I still write other stories (*cough*fanfics*cough*) from time to time, I want to publish these books about the Witnesses for others to see and enjoy and hopefully get some spiritual encouragement from.
So, What Are These Books About?
Yes, they are mostly about young Jehovah's Witnesses. And it will focus on their daily lives, mainly as deal with lots of issues ranging from peer pressure to spiritual downfalls, dating, life decisions, personality changes and lots more. And then those previous ideas can be expanded into lots of different ways. Some issues will be more serious than others. And there will also be topics that some might not even imagine a JW dealing with on a regular basis. I will also be drawing from life experiences and experiences of others that I know. To make a long story short, I hope the books will be entertaining for all, whether they have a light-hearted tone, serious tone or a mixture of both!
